Beetroot rasam with step by step pictures.
Mostly it will Saturday when I will be clueless what to cook for lunch.One such day I got this idea to cook simple rasam with beetroot.The recipe is same as rasam only difference is I added some cooked beetroot juice init. It was on that day I made beetroot chaas to accomplish the meal.
So mistake that this recipe will be sweet since beetroot is added.It will be balanced well with the ground spice mixture and tasted yummy.Let us see how to make it.

Ingredients:
- Pepper-2 Tsp
- Jeera-2 tsp
- Garlic pods-4
- Red chilly-4
- Beetroot puree-1 tbsp
- Tamarind-small berry size
- Salt-to taste
- Coriander leaves
To Temper:
- Oil-1 Tsp
- Mustard-1\2 tsp
- Hing -1\2 tsp
- Curry leaves
Method:
1.Peel beetroot and cook in water.When cooked well, cool and grind it into a paste.
3.Soak tamarind in water and extract juice.
4.Dilute the tamarind juice to the needed amount and boil it.Add the beetroot puree, salt to it.
5.Add the coarsely powdered mix to the boiling mix.Wait for it to boil and switch off.Add coriander leaves.
6.Temper with the ingredients given and add to it.
Serve with hot steamed rice.
