Actually, it is prepared with rice but here I took a shortcut and used rice flour to make it.Also, all my phirnis are by the same method only.As a sweet may all things be sweet and happy this new year.
Preparation time: 2mins
Cooking time15mins
Chilling time: 2-3 hours
Ingredients:
- Milk-1 cup+1\4 cup
- Saffron- generous pinch
- Rice flour-2 tbsp
- Sugar-1\4 cup (adjust)
- Pistachio nuts -to garnish
- Silver Vrak (optional)-to decorate
Method:
1.Soak saffron in 1\4 cup warm milk.
2.Mix rice flour with water to make a paste without lumps.
3.Heat milk.When the milk boils add the saffron milk and rice paste to it.Keep stirring without any lumps.
4.Then add sugar and reduce till it thickens, Switch off.
5.Transfer into serving glass and top with the nut.Chill in the refrigerator.
