This post i have to post yesterday ,but my broadband did not connect,if one day its fine the next day its problem.My line is clear but my modem has to be changed.Okay lets leave my problem and over to the recipe.I made this on Sunday and it was yummy.Try this pepper pistachio chicken from our regular one.Though the ingredient list looks big its very easy to make.
Ingredients:
Chicken- 1\2 kg
Onion-1 big(sliced)
Tomato-1 (or lemon juice of 1)
green chilly-1
ginger garlic paste- 1 tsp
Garam masala powder- 1\2 tsp
coriander/dhaniya powder- 2 tsp
Turmeric powder- 1\2 tsp
Salt to taste
Olive oil/sunflower oil- 2 tbsp
To grind:
Pistachio- 1\4 cup
Grated coconut- 1\3 cup
Whole pepper- 2 to 3 tsp
Green chilly-2
To temper:
Bay leaf-1
Cinnamon,clove,cardamon -1 each.
Coriander leaves to garnish.
Method:
1.Clean chicken well.Slice onions,tomato and green chilly.
2.Grind all the ingredients under " to grind" to a fine paste.
3.In a wok/kadai,heat oil and add the items for seasoning,followed by onion and green chilly and saute till onion becomes translucent.
4.Then add ginger garlic paste and saute till the raw smell goes.Add cleaned chicken and mix for a while.
5.Add all the masala powder ,tomato and mix.then add ground paste,salt and 2 cup water and cover it till done.
6.Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
Note:
1.If using lemon juice squeeze it after u turn off the flame over the gravy and mix.
