Almond/Badam Chutney may be new to many as to me, while browsing I saw many people make this dip/chutney.I too decided to try it.First day I tried it in a different way with red chillies and without tempering but today morning I tried it in another way and it was an awesome combination for dosa,my kids love it a lot.
Badam has many health benefits, some are
- They reduce the risk of heart attack
- They lower bad cholostral
- It help build strong bones & teeth
- They provide healthy fats and aids in weight loss.
Ingredients:
- Badam/Almond- 1\4 cup
- Coconut grated- 1\2 cup
- Green chilly- 2
- Ginger- a small piece
- Salt to taste
To temper:
- Oil
- Mustard
- curry leaves.
Method:
1.Soak badam in hot water for 10 mins.Remove the skin of it.
2.In a mixer/blender add grated coconut,peeled badam,green chillies,ginger and salt.First run ur pulsar mode then add some water and grind to a fine paste.
3.Add water according to the consistency you need and then temper with the items under " to temper".
Easy side dish for idli/dosa.
Note:
1.This can also be made without coconut also.
2.You can add red chillies instead of green.
