Amla thayir pachadi with step by step pictures and video
Amla/nellaikai/Goosberry is one healthy fruit rich in nutrients and high in vitamin C. Many people love it due to its tanginess & sourness. With some salt, it would be awesome. Amla/nellikai is one of the best coolant and hence you can take it often this summer.
Amla together with curd tastes too good that even my children didn't complain about its taste. I made this a gravy for hot steamed rice along with a spicy kootu/side dish.

Ingredients:
- Amla/neelikai/goosberry-6
- Coconut pieces-1\2 cup
- Green chilly-1 or 2
- Ginger - a small piece
- Yogurt/curd-1\2 cup
- Salt to taste
- oil-2 Tsp
- mustard-1\2 tsp
- Hing -1\2 tsp
- Curry leaves
Method:
1. Wash amla, deseed it and chop into pieces.
2. In a mixer add amla, coconut pieces, green chilly, and ginger. Grind it to a paste.
3. Whisk the curd well. Add the ground paste to it and mix well. Add salt. Dilute with little water.
4. Heat a pan and add the tempering ingredients and add to the curd mix. Mix well.
Tasty neelikai thayir pachadi is ready.
