Its just mid march and heat here in Chennai has started shooting up and it has become little difficult to bear the heat in afternoons. I have completely avoided going out during the day and my best time for all shopping happens to be after five in evening.We have planned to go walking after my daughter's semester exam and I hope it must go well as scheduled.
To overcome this scorching heat herewith I have buttermilk recipe to which I added some cooked beets to make it colorful and healthy.check my other summer drink recipes here.

Ingredients:
- Beetroot-1
- Mint leaves-few
- Green chilly-1
- Buttermilk- 2 cups
- Salt to taste
- Jeera powder-1\2 tsp(optional)
Method:
1. Peel beetroot and cook it with some water.
2.Cool and grind with mint and green chilly.
3.Beat the buttermilk well. To it add the ground mix, salt, jeera powder(if using) and blend well.
4.Filter the drink and serve.It can be chilled in the refrigerator for awhile and can be served.
