Semiya Payasam/Vemicelli Kheer





Semiya payasam(vermicelli kheer) will take a place in the menu of all marriages and is also made is every festival. It made it yesterday for the church feast, Its quite very easy to make even a beginner can make it easier.

Ingredients:

  • Semiya (vermicelli)- 1 cup
  • Boiled milk- 2.5 cup
  • sugar- 3\4 cup
  • Cashew& raisins- little
  • Ghee- 2 tbsp


Method:

1.Heat ghee in pan and roast cashew , raisins and keep aside.

2.In the same pan add semiya and dry roast until it becomes light brown color.

3.Then add milk to it and cook until the semiya becomes soft.

4.Add sugar to it and keep in simmer for 2-4 mins.

5.Add the ghee roasted cashew& raisins and serve.

This can be served either hot or cold, taste good.
  
                                   


Note:

1.You can cook semiya separately in water and add to boiled milk.
2.When cooled it become thicker so add milk while serving.
3.If u prefer u can add saffron.
