Purple Cabbage Vadai-Urad dal


Purple cabbage vadai

I  think most of us like vadai,this cabbage vadai also tastes yummy we had it with tea and it was nice for this cool evening.Try it.




Ingredients:

  • Urad dhal- 1cup
  • Purple cabbage-grated- 1\2 cup
  • Green chilli-1 or 2
  • Ginger- 1 cm length
  • cilantro/coriander-hand ful
  • Salt - to taste
  • Jeera/Cumin seeds- 1 tsp
  • Oil- to fry

Method:

1.Wash and soak urad dal for 1 hr.

2.Cut cabbage into small pieces.I cut into big pieces and just gave one quick run in mixer.
cut chilli & ginger into small pieces.

3.Grind the urad dal to fine paste with very little water.

4.Transfer to the bowl add cabbage,chilli,ginger,salt,cilantro and mix well.

5.Heat oil in pan,take a small lemon size flatten it in ur palm ,make a hole in centre and drop it in the heated oil.

6.when cooked one side turn the other side,when done drain on kitchen towel.

Serve hot with your coffee/Tea.


 Note:

You can also use normal cabbage too.
